A new rendition of “Working Girl” from the 1980s will be produced by Selena Gomez

Selema Gomez is making a revived version of “Working Girl”

Hollywood star Selena Gomez is now finalising plans to make the revived version of the extremely successful movie “Working Girl” from the 1980s.

The cast has not been decided yet

The casting for the rebooted version of the movie has not yet been decided, and it is unknown if Gomez would both star in and produce the “Working Girl” remake. In the 1988 remake, a driven 30-something Staten Island secretary assumes control of the office while her boss is attending to a broken leg. But when the secretary offers a clever suggestion, her boss tries to claim the glory.

Mike Nichola directed the first film

The first film was directed by Mike Nichols and starred Sigourney Weaver, Melanie Griffith, and Harrison Ford. It received positive reviews from online users. Ilana Pena, who wrote the novel “Diary of a Future President,” is currently revising the comedy movie’s screenplay.

Sandra tried to turn “Working Girl” into brief series

In the 1990s, American actress Sandra Bullock attempted to turn “Working Girl” into a brief series for NBC, but the producers cancelled the programme due to low ratings.

Selena Gomez, a former “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress from the Disney Channel, has entered the producing business for the comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” on Hulu. She co-stars in the programme with Martin Short and Steve Martin.

Selena Gomez recently appeared in the “Selena + Chef”

In recent times, Gomez has also created and appeared in the HBO Max reality series “Selena + Chef.” According to reports, she is handled by WME, Lighthouse Management & Media, Johnson, Shapiro, Slewett, and Kole.
