Anne Heche passes away at 53
Veteran actress Anne Heche, best known for portraying Vicky Hudson in the 1990s television series Another World, passed away on Friday. Around a week ago, Anne crashed her car into a house in Los Angeles, seriously wounding herself and ruining the building. Her age was just 53.
On Friday, a statement confirming Anne’s passing was made by her family. The statement said:
“Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy. Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact.”

Anne Heche is technically still alive under California law
Despite the fact that Anne is technically still alive under California law, life support has not yet been turned off in order to give OneLegacy Foundation time to find recipients who are a match.
According to Homer, the eldest son of Anne, “My brother Atlas and I lost our Mom. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep, wordless sadness. Hopefully, my mom is free from pain and beginning to explore what I like to imagine as her eternal freedom. Over those six days, thousands of friends, family, and fans made their hearts known to me. I am grateful for their love, as I am for the support of my Dad, Coley, and my stepmom Alexi who continue to be my rock during this time. Rest In Peace Mom, I love you.”
Anne gained attention in 1980s
She portrayed roles in movies including Volcano, Wag the Dog, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Six Days Seven Nights, the 1998 adaptation of Psycho, and the soap opera Another World. Anne gained attention in the 1990s and 1980s (1987-1991).
