Anne Heche is in critical condition
Anne Heche is still in the hospital, using a ventilator to help her breathe even four days after the actress was injured in a violent automobile crash She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday.
“Shortly after the accident, Anne became unconscious, slipping into a coma and is in critical condition,” spokeswoman Heather Duffy Boylston said in an email. “She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.”
Pulmonary denotes a concern for the lungs. Heche’s buddy and podcast co-host Duffy Boylston gave no additional information.
Car of Anne Heche collided with house in Mar Vista
Heche’s car collided with a home on August 5 in the westside of Los Angeles community of Mar Vista. Firefighters had to extricate the car’s lone passenger, Heche, from the residence after flames broke out. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, it took nearly 60 firemen more than an hour to put out the flames.
She rose to fame in 1987
Heche, an Ohio native, first rose to fame in the 1987–1991 season of the NBC soap opera Another World, for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy.
In the late 1990s, Heche’s acting career took off thanks to roles with actors like Johnny Depp (Donnie Brasco) and Harrison Ford (Six Days, Seven Nights).
Anne Heche was wed to Coleman Laffoon
From 2001 to 2009, she was wed to cameraman Coleman Laffoon. Together, they have a son. She gave birth to a second son while dating the actor James Tupper. He was her co-star in the television series Men in Trees.
She appeared in many shows and series
Over the past 20 years, Heche has continuously appeared in smaller films, on Broadway, and in TV series. She recently appeared in repeat episodes of the network television shows Chicago P.D. and All Rise, and she competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2020.
