Harry Styles pays tribute to the monarch for her 70 years of service during his concert as Queen Elizabeth II passes away

Many people were shocked to learn about passing of Queen Elizabeth. Condolences have been flooding in for the historical figure as England’s longest-reigning queen. A number of famous people used social media to express their sorrow over the monarch’s departure and to thank her for her more than 70 years of service to the monarchy. At his New York concert, Harry Styles also honoured her.

Harry Styles paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth

When news of Queen Elizabeth’s passing broke, the English singer who is presently on tour was singing at Madison Square Garden in New York. Styles spoke to the crowd about the awful news and paid tribute to the late monarch by adding, “Please join me in a round of applause for 70 years of service. Thank you, Madison Square Garden.”  Videos of Harry’s tribute to the Queen were posted by fans on social media by several attendees.

Queen Elizabeth passed away at 96 at the Balmoral castle in Scotland on Thursday. After doctors expressed concern over her health, members of the royal family, including Prince William, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, hurried to be by her side. In addition, Prince Harry landed in Scotland a few hours after his grandma passed away.

Elton John wrote a moving tribute to the Queen

Singer Elton John was one of the famous people who wrote a moving tribute to the Queen. He said, “Along with the rest of the nation, I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing. She was an inspiring presence to be around and led the country through some of our greatest and darkest moments with grace, decency and a genuine caring warmth. Queen Elizabeth has been a huge part of my life from childhood to this day, and I will miss her dearly.” Helen Mirren, Julie Andrews, and other celebrities also paid tribute to the Queen.
