Leslie Grace breaks her silence following the cancellation of her movie “Batgirl”

Warner Bros. declined to give the much-anticipated movie Batgirl, starring Leslie Grace, the go-ahead. The movie production company apparently decided to shelve the project, which would have portrayed Barbara Gordon’s transformation into the legendary DC character Batgirl.

Leslie Grace responded to the news of cancellation of Batgirl

Warner Bros. has cancelled the project, which was scheduled to make its debut exclusively on HBO Max and won’t be available on any platforms. Fans were really disappointed by the news since they were looking forward to seeing Leslie dressed as Batgirl the superhero. Leslie recently responded to the shocking news of Batgirl’s cancellation on her social media accounts.

Leslie Grace shared a number of behind the scenes photos

Grace made a statement on Thursday in response to the studio’s choice not to release her eagerly anticipated movie, Batgirl. The actor shared a number of behind-the-scenes photos from the movie’s sets along with a heartfelt essay about the “hard work” that went into making it.

She captioned the post as, “Querida familia! On the heels of the recent news about our movie Batgirl, I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland. I feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process! “

Grace thanked all her fans for their support and love

Grace proceeded by thanking all of her fans for their unending love and support “To every Batgirl fan – THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, my own damn hero! #Batgirl for life! “

Directors of Batgirl also expressed their sadness over the news

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the directors of Batgirl, expressed their shock and sadness over the news. The statement went on to say,  “As directors, it is critical that our work be shown to audiences, and while the film was far from finished, we wish that fans all over the world would have the opportunity to see and embrace the final film themselves. Maybe one day they will insha’Allah.”
