Olivia Newton-John died at the age of 73
Singer Olivia Newton–John, who won many Grammy awards and starred in the movie Grease, died on Monday at the age of 73. The actress and singer spent several years battling breast cancer. Her family posted a heartfelt statement on Instagram to share the sad news of her departure. A number of celebrities sent the actress touching tributes on social media.

Newton-John portrays Sandy in the 1950s-era movie
Intriguingly, the image of the deceased actress that was posted online by Priyanka Chopra was a still from Grease, the legendary musical. Had Newton-John portrays Sandy in the 1950s-era movie, while Travolta plays Danny, the “greaser,” who they had a summer romance with. In his eulogy, John Travolta said, “My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better.” He was remembering her incredible contribution to the movie and the world in general.

The actor also referred to Grease in his homage, writing, “From the first second I laid eyes on you, you were all mine. your John and your Danny!” Olivia Newton-John had a significant influence on Hollywood as both an actress and a musician. As a result, many other celebrities, such as Hugh Jackman, Kylie Minogue, and Grease director Randal Kleiser, have expressed their sorrow at her passing.
