The CW network releases a new poster for The Flash season 9, as well as confirming the fact that numerous fan-favorite characters will be returning on the screen for the final session.
For a good amount of time, TV series based on DC characters had no competition. And Arrowverse was the topic of sentiment for the majority of the fans as it contained characters like Green Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, and Batwoman. Now the end of Arrow in 2020 was followed by the downfall of the whole universe.
According to the report of Deadline, David Ramsey (John Diggle/Spartan), Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork) will all guest star in episode 9.
Characters like Diggle who originated from Arrow, appeared in 10 episodes of The Flash since its first session, so a tribute here makes sense.
“As one of the legacy Arrowverse characters who helped start it all, John Diggle holds a special place in our hearts, as well as the fans,” executive producer Eric Wallace explains. “Plus, the commanding presence and commitment to excellence actor/director David Ramsey bring to the screen each and every time is truly inspiring.” He added, “So, of course, it was a no-brainer to have Diggle join Team Flash in our final season! So, get ready for a very emotional reunion as John Diggle aka Spartan helps protect Central City alongside Team Flash one last time.”
Lonsdale played the character Wally for 45 episodes in total. It was emotional to see his departure after season 5, but he will be back as well as Wallace adds, “We’re so happy to reunite with the incredibly talented Keiynan Lonsdale as a part of The Flash’s final season. Because Kid Flash isn’t just another speedster – he’s a beloved part of our Team Flash family.“
“So as soon as we knew he was coming back, we set out to create a special and heartfelt story for his return. The result is a brilliant performance from Keiynan that showcases a side of Wally West you’ve never seen before.”
Bloodwork will also have his massive return as Wallace States, “will set into motion one of the Flash’s wildest and most emotional adventures yet.”
Now, with time the whole Arrowverse is decorated, and as Marvel steps into the game of ‘Comic Book Series’ as a big game player, it is beyond repair. But this show indeed has a very loyal fanbase that will be flabbergasted and emotional to see the fastest man alive for one more time. And as the sun of Arrowverse sets in the sky of CW, we will surely cherish it for one last time.
Till then, Run Barry Run…
