The Whale crosses $10 Million in Domestic Box Office, Demolishes Post-Pandemic Movie Effect.

The Whale once again breaks the stigma regarding an artistic film that can’t see much economic success.

The Whale has been a sensation lately and crossed $10 Million at the domestic box office, expected to add some more in the stat. The Darren Aronofsky film was released in the United States on December 9, 2022, and first premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 4th, 2022.

Now its streaming has observed exponential growth as it started with only Six screens for a couple of weeks. Then the number skyrocketed to 600, 625, 800, and later 1500 in the following weeks.

Now the slow release might affect the box office but in the long run, it keeps the hype up and also it doesn’t imitate the mistake of Tar or The Fabelmans and even ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once.’ Now, this can be a ‘Two Birds One Stone’ act but an effective one indeed.

Brendan Fraser establishes himself as one of the strongest contenders for the Oscars this year, delivering a performance of a lifetime. He is also sharing the screen with Sadie Sink, the has been a part of the Stranger Things cast, also playing the role of Young Queen Elizabeth II in The Audience.

Though this film got somewhat of a mixed bag of reviews, the world of critics welcomed it with open arms. The six minutes long standing ovation and the love shown by the fans can take it a long way. With a soothing color palette and spellbinding acting with a compact storyline, The Whale deserves every piece of love and appreciation.
