Fans are turning to Twitter to discuss the much-anticipated live-action adaption of Where the Crawdads Sing following its release. The movie, which is helmed by Olivia Newman, is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Delia Owens. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter are also producing the movie, which raised anticipation for the adaption among viewers.

The movie’s official synopsis is as follows:

“Abandoned as a girl, Kya raised herself in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumours of the marsh girl haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community. Drawn to two young men from town, she opens herself to a new and startling world. However, when one of them is found dead, Kya immediately becomes the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal many secrets.”

According to the Twitter followers, the movie was A-plus. Even after scrolling for a while on the timeline, all we could find about the movie were the gushing reviews of internet users who genuinely loved the thought-provoking movie. Those who had read the book before were quick to point out the correctness of the adaptation, which was completely true to its source material and did not distort the plot.
