Five years after appearing in his final Wolverine movie, Hollywood’s Hugh Jackman is back to reprise the clawed mutant’s role. Deadpool 3 will be released in theatres in 2024, according to Ryan Reynolds, who plays Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool, in The Greatest Showman.
Jackman’s role as Wolverine in the 2000 film X-Men launched him to international fame. But after appearing in nine movies over the course of 17 years, including multiple cameo appearances, the actor gave up playing the superhero following Logan (2017).

It included the subtitle “I shall always love Hugh” and a preview for “Coming Hughn.” The Deadpool emblem appeared as the video came to a close but was swiftly destroyed by Wolverine’s claws.
Reynolds’ persona and Jackman’s Wolverine come full circle in the third Deadpool movie. The 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in which Ryan Reynolds debuted as Deadpool, showed the anti-hero with his lips stitched shut.
