She presided over Judge Judy, the highest Nielsen-rated court program for which she is best known, for 25 seasons between September 16, 1996, and July 23, 2021. She later entered the Guinness World Records in 2015 for the longest-serving television arbitrator in the history of courtroom-themed programs because of her role as Judge Judy.
