Queen Elizabeth II’s “dearest wishes” was for Prince Harry to reunite with King Charles III and Prince William

Queen Elizabeth II's "dearest wishes" was for Prince Harry to reunite with King Charles III and Prince William

“Queen Elizabeth II cherished Prince Harry through to the end, and Harry adored her,” historian Robert Hardman said.

For seven decades, Queen Elizabeth II presided over the United Kingdom. The country began to grieve her passing three days ago, and now that the Queen has left, everyone in the palace is grieving. Her death was reportedly caused by natural causes. She allegedly passed away quietly at Scotland’s Balmoral Castle. Prince Harry also shared with the audience how much he missed his grandma.

Queen Elizabeth II never gave up hope that her grandson Prince Harry and the royal family’s strained ties could be restored. Harry’s reconciliation with his father King Charles III and older brother Prince William was one of The Queen’s “dearest dreams,” according to historian Robert Hardman, author of Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II, who spoke with People.

Relationship of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry

Speaking of their close relationship, Robert Hardman said of Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth II, “The Queen cherished Harry right to the end, and Harry adored her.” Notably, despite his criticism of both King Charles III and Prince William, Harry has never been critical of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who reigned for 96 years. She may have served as a link between Windsor and California, and Hardman asserted that she would have wanted them to mend fences.

Additionally, many close to King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla wish for a reconciliation between Prince William and Prince Harry, if not for the sake of preserving family ties, then at least for the benefit of the new throne. King Charles III’s confidante observed, “You’d expect that the entire family would come together and support the King in particular. In the process, perhaps some wounds can be healed. She didn’t keep grudges because she was aware that confrontations were a normal part of life. She most wished for the happiness of her family.” It would have undoubtedly been Queen Elizabeth’s final request, claims People.
