Miley Cyrus announced the grand return of ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’. But this time, she’s not returning alone to usher in 2023! The former Hannah Montana star is all set to co-host with none other than her godmother and American country music icon Dolly Parton.
Dolly Parton replaces Pete Davidson
The line-up for this year’s event looks a bit different as Dolly Parton replaces Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson as co-host for the grand spectacle of an event. NBC stated that the event “will feature an A-list line-up of musical performances and special guests to be announced.” Pete was considered an ‘ideal fit‘ for the role of co-host for last year’s event, according to Miley. Last year’s event, co-hosted by Davidson, featured stars like Jack Harlow and brought in a whopping 6 million viewers, making it a grand success. Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of NBC Universal Television and Streaming further added, “The inaugural ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” was an unqualified success and we know this year’s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun. We can’t wait to get the party started.” Miley meanwhile will also take up the role of Executive Producer for the show.

Dolly predicts a ‘Legendary’ New Year’s Eve Party
The event is set to have an even more star-studded line-up as last year, a lot of legends like Billy Idol or Elton John couldn’t make it to the show last year due to the glooming COVID-19 pandemic. The 11-time Grammy Award Winner Dolly Parton’s absence last year was noticeably felt. In a promotional video, posted by Miley, the duo can be seen sitting at a table with champagne glasses. Miley exclaimed that “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party is about getting glamorous and dressing your best,” while Dolly joked about how the duo already does that every day. Dolly ends the video by stating that “the event is going to legendary!”
Miley and Dolly Share an Unbreakable Bond
The 29-year-old Cyrus and 76-year-old Parton are no strangers to each other. Dolly Parton made a huge impact on Miley Cyrus’ music career. Miley even sang together with Dolly in the latter’s hit song Jolene. They’re also set to appear together in NBC’s ‘Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas‘ which would also feature stars like Jimmy Fallon. The duo recently appeared together in a Super Bowl advertisement and share an unbreakable bond behind the scenes. It’s left to see if this bond will transition into an unbreakable eccentric chemistry between the two when they co-host ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party on December 31st, 2022!
