Nia Long made her first appearance in the media following Ime Udoka, the head coach of the Boston Celtics, being suspended for allegedly having a consensual relationship with a female employee of his NBA team. The adored 45-year-old actress, who gained fame in 90s classics like Love Jones and Boyz N The Hood, ventured out in Los Angeles on Saturday (October 1) with her son Kez, 11, whom she shares with Ime, for some shopping therapy.
Nia Long was spotted for the first time since her fiance’s scandal with her son Kez in LA in October 2022.
When questioned by the media how she was faring in the wake of the issue involving the Celtics head coach, 45, who was expelled from the organisation for violating the code of conduct over an alleged romance with a female staff member, the 51-year-old Long had no remark.

Nia Long and Udoka Relationship
According to the reports, Nia Long, who has been dating Udoka since 2010, also didn’t appear to be wearing her engagement ring, noting that “she doesn’t always rock it when out and about.” When asked if they were “working things out,” she laughed. Despite not being married, they have a son together, named Kez.
Nia responds when asked if she and Ime are working things out. She was mostly silent and refused to comment. It is revealing. She has kept a low profile since it was revealed that her fiancé had an affair and hasn’t been seen in public until today.

Nia Long appeared without Engagement Ring
It should be noted that Nia doesn’t appear to be sporting her engagement ring, even though she occasionally does. However, at this point, it seems crucial.

Udoka’s Confession
Udoka, who assisted the Celtics in reaching the NBA Finals last season, issued a statement of his own after the ban in which he expressed regret to family members and the team for “letting them down.”
“I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment,” he said.
Due to Udoka’s suspension, Celtics assistant Joe Mazzulla will serve as the team’s temporary coach.

NBA New Season Schedule
On Tuesday, October 18, two high-profile games will kick off the regular season. At 6:30 p.m. CT, the Boston Celtics will play host to the Philadelphia 76ers. At 9 p.m. CT, the Warriors will begin defending their championship against the Los Angeles Lakers.
