Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc took to social media on Tuesday to announce his split from long-time girlfriend Charlotte Sine.
Charles Leclerc and Charlotte Sine Still Remain Good Friends
On Tuesday, it was officially confirmed that after three years of dating, Leclerc and Sine have broken up. Leclerc stated the following on his official social media handles – “Hello everyone, Charlotte and I have decided to end our relationship and we remain good friends.” The 26-year-old Ferrari driver further stated, “We have shared so many great moments and she is and always will be a very special person to me.”
No Love Lost Between The Two
It seems as though the decision to end the relationship was a mutual one and ended on good terms. The duo hasn’t removed pictures of each other from their respective Instagram accounts either. Leclerc additionally had words of praise for Charlotte. “She is amazing and deserves the best,” Leclerc said.

A Familiar Face At The Formula 1 Paddock
Leclerc and Charlotte started dating all the way back in 2019. She would make the effort to be in the paddock for as many races as possible to support Leclerc. Over the years, the couple became a heart-throb for many F1 fans around the world. Charlotte too became a familiar face to greet Charles at the end of numerous races.
Charlotte took to Instagram to give her side of the story to the sudden split. She said “Charles and I have decided to end our relationship and stay good friends. It’s been 3 beautiful years together with loads of memories. He is an amazing person and I wish him the best.”

A Rollercoaster Of A Year For Leclerc
The year has been full of up and downs for the Scuderia driver. Leclerc finished second in the driver’s championship with 308 points while Dutch superstar Max Verstappen won his second world championship with 454 points. Leclerc clinched 3 race wins and 9 pole positions during the 2022 Formula 1 season. After dominating performances at the start of the season, Leclerc was tipped to bag the world championship. But technical failures and weak team strategies meant that Leclerc has to wait a bit longer to become world champion.
Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto, a key figure in Leclerc’s time at Ferrari, recently also announced that he’s leaving Ferrari.
