Tia Mowry Announced
The 44-year-old “Sister, Sister” actress shared the news of their separation on Instagram on Tuesday.
“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote alongside a black and white photo of the couple. “These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children.”
The television personality continued, “I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Reports On Divorce
According to documents that US Weekly was able to get, Mowry filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles. In the filing, Mowry claims that the breakup was caused by irreconcilable differences.
Despite not giving a specific date for their split, Mowry is asking the court to grant her and her ex-husband Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4, shared physical and legal custody of their two children.
According to the records, the pair, who got married in 2008, has a prenuptial agreement, and Mowry is requesting that the judge stop paying spousal support.

While filming “Hollywood Horror” in 2000, Mowry and Hardrict became friends. On Christmas Day, after six years of dating, they got engaged. The couple wed in 2008.
Before getting married in 2008, Mowry and Hardrict were Pepperdine University undergrads in Los Angeles.

Tia Mowry Expressed On Instagram
Mowry posted two mysterious messages about love on Instagram before the announcement of their breakup.
“Letting go won’t be painful." “But, it won’t hurt as much as holding on to an illusion.”
She stated in the sent out just hours before their breakup became public on Tuesday: “LOVE IS ME. Only love will I choose to see. I’m hoping you’ll agree.”

Mowry tweeted one on Sunday about the need for understanding.

Tia And Cory Opened Their Relationship
During a guest appearance on People the TV Show, Mowry and Hardrict talked openly about maintaining their marriage. around February 2021.
“A lot of people, they ask Cory and I, like, ‘What makes your marriage, you know, a great marriage?'” Mowry said. “And if I’m being really honest with you — and we’ve been doing this for years — we don’t focus on specific gender roles.”
"Meaning the women should just do one thing and then the men should just do one thing," the actress explained. "It's a team effort at our house."
