The announcement regarding Holmes and Robach’s present status on the show was shared with staff members via email on Monday morning by ABC News president Kim Godwin.

“Amy and T.J. will remain off-air pending the completion of an internal review, and there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being."

Godwin also thanked employees for staying focused amid the “distracting” media coverage of the couple’s alleged affair, noting that the ABC News team does “important work.”

It is revealed that the couple’s personal issues became a distraction to the point where ABC News management opted to remove them from the air.
